I notice that there's no dedicated page for Accessibility on your website. Disabled people would buy tickets much more readily if basic access information was already on the website without us having to ask questions and wait for a reply. All music venues should commit to having this information on their websites if they're committed to equal access.
For example, I need to know what facilities there are for wheelchair users at the venue. Is there a dedicated viewing area for wheelchair users? Is there a disabled loo? Is there level access throughout?
I won't be buying any tickets until I know for sure that I can operate in the space.
My partner is disabled and wheelchair bound and I'd love for her to accompany me to some gigs at 1865, she would need to know if the loo's are right or left transfer for example and as previously mentioned if there is good access and level flooring.
Hi Francesca, thanks for your message. We are working on an FAQs page with all accessibility information included so this will be available shortly. The venue is ground floor entry and wheelchair accessible. There is street parking in front of the main door to the venue and in addition there is a car park to the right of the venue next door.
The toilets are on the ground floor level however there are currently no designated disabled toilets. We offer +1 assisstance tickets if you send us an email at tickets@the1865.com we can sort this out for you.
The door staff will let you in before doors open to find the most suitable viewing area for your group. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
