  • Can I play at your venue?

  • Do you have an age restriction for gigs?
    Generally, our age restriction at the venue is 8+ (under 14's must be accompanied by an adult), however please refer to your tickets where the age restriction will be clearly noted.
  • I can't find my tickets / can't print them at home
    Not to worry! We will have a ticket list on the door so all you will need is the booking name and we'll be able to find you. If you would like a copy of your tickets resent prior to the event, please email us at hello@the1865.live.
  • I would like to come to a show but struggle standing for long periods, is there any seating available?
    We have limited seating available for shows however if you would like to reserve seating, please email our accessibility team at access@the1865.live once you have purchased tickets. Please include the full name of the lead booker, your party size and any requests you may have.
  • Where are you located?
    The 1865 is located in the heart of Southampton at Brunswick Square, SO14 3AR. We’re easy to find and accessible by public transport and nearby parking options.
  • Where can I buy tickets?
    Our primary ticket outlet is TicketWeb and our listings can be found on www.the1865.com. Limited tickets may be available on the door for shows that have not sold out, however we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Should an event be sold out, please do check out our events on ticketswap, our official resale partners!
  • Do you have a waitlist for sold out events?
    At this time, unfortunately we do not have a waitlist. However, we are partnered with ticketswap, our only official and accepted source of resale tickets. Please do check out our events on ticketswap!
  • What's your age restrictions for the bar?
    Our bars operate a challenge 25 policy, so please bring photo ID if you wish to purchase alcohol.
  • What time do the doors open for events?
    Door opening times vary by event, but they are usually between 7 PM and 8 PM. Please check your ticket or our website for specific times.
  • Where can I find set times?

  • Is there a dress code?
    We have a relaxed dress code. Just bring a great attitude and dress comfortably to enjoy the show. For specific themed nights or sports events, there may be suggested attire, which will be mentioned in the event details.
  • Is there food and drink available at the venue?
    Yes! We have a bar serving a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Occasionally, food may be available, especially during special events, but usually we have a wide variety of snacks. Please check the event listing or call ahead for details.
  • Is there parking nearby?
    There is limited on-street parking nearby, and several paid parking lots are within walking distance. We recommend public transport or rideshares when possible, as parking spaces may fill up quickly during events.
  • Is The 1865 wheelchair accessible?
    Yes, The 1865 is wheelchair accessible. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance at access@the1865.live, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
  • Can I bring a camera or record the event?
    Professional cameras and recording equipment are not permitted unless explicitly agreed with by the artist or event organiser. Standard mobile phone photography and point and shoot compact cameras are typically fine, but please be mindful of those around you.
  • Can I privately hire The 1865 for an event?
    Absolutely! We offer private event rentals for a variety of occasions. Reach out directly at book@the1865.com for more information on booking and availability.
  • Do you keep lost property?
    If you’ve lost something during an event, please contact us via email or phone with a description of the item, and we’ll check our lost and found. Please note, any items that have been left longer than 4 weeks will be given to charity.
  • How do I stay updated on upcoming events?
    Follow us on social media, join our WhatsApp group, subscribe to our newsletter, or visit our website to stay up-to-date on all upcoming shows, exclusive pre-sales, and special events at The 1865.
  • Do you have a membership or loyalty program?
    Currently, we don’t offer a membership program, but we do have special promotions and early access for select shows. Keep an eye on our social media, website and join our whatsapp group for the latest offers.
  • What's your policy on admissions, refusals and ejections?
    In accordance with licensing law the venue has the right to refuse admission without providing a reason. If you have consumed alcohol prior to arrival & appear to be in an intoxicated state or behave inappropriately in the queue or in view of the venue staff you may be refused entry or removed from the venue without a refund.
  • What are the security procedures for an event?
    All attendees are subject to security screening. Bags may be checked, and no large items or prohibited substances are allowed into the venue.
  • Can I get a photography pass?
    Please reach out to the1865@divergentvenues.com to enquire.
  • Do you have a cloakroom?
    Our cloakroom is usually open during the winter months or upon request. We charge £2 an item.
